This notice describes current website data handling. Operator identification, provider arrangements, international transfer safeguards and the legal basis for website statistics remain under review. Visiting the website is not treated as consent.

What this notice covers

This notice covers the personal website at Shuriel.com and its Reimagined showcase page. The browser extension and the player history service have separate privacy notices.

The website is operated by Shuriel. For questions or requests about your data, email [email protected].

Data used by the website

Technical requests can include your IP address, the requested address, time, browser information and referring website. The website, its hosting provider and Cloudflare process technical information to deliver pages, diagnose problems and protect the service.

The website counts page views for the personal homepage and Reimagined showcase. The report identifies which of these pages was opened; the server increases a daily total. The statistics do not store individual visit records, IP addresses, session identifiers, referrers, browser details, scrolling, clicks or active time. Counts represent page views rather than unique people and can include repeated visits or automated traffic.

Receiving a report still involves a technical network request. The server and delivery providers can process connection information separately from the aggregate statistics, as described above. The daily counts do not mean that every technical request is anonymous.

These totals help the owner understand overall use of the website. There are no automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

If you email the owner, your address, message and any information you choose to provide are used to respond and handle your request. Sending a message is voluntary.

Your statistics preference

Page-view counting is enabled automatically. The counter does not send reports when your browser signals Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, or when you disable page-view counting using the website's privacy preference control. Existing statistics opt-outs continue to be respected.

This choice is saved in this browser. It stops future counter reports; it does not remove existing totals, erase earlier detailed records or disable technical security logs. You can email the owner about existing data.

Browser storage and cookies

The website saves your music mute preference and statistics preference in local storage until you change them or clear website data. It also stores an entry-screen preference that skips the entry screen for 48 hours. After that period the preference no longer skips the screen; the stored value may remain until replaced or cleared.

Restricted preview uses a temporary access cookie lasting up to one hour. It is limited to this website, uses a secure connection and cannot be read by page scripts. Cloudflare may use cookies for security or access checks. The applicable browser-storage requirements remain under review.

How long data is kept

Detailed statistics collected before the switch to aggregate page-view counting continue to expire under the existing 14-day automatic cleanup, without extending their retention. Records can be removed earlier when the report store reaches its capacity. No new detailed visit records are added. Existing aggregate totals can include earlier visit counts and active-time totals; new counting does not collect active time. Aggregate totals currently have no automatic expiry and their continued need remains under review.

Technical request logs have separate retention. Current gateway logs rotate according to their size rather than a fixed number of days, and providers have their own retention rules.

Scheduled encrypted site backups keep the three most recent weekly copies. A backup can contain website statistics captured before their removal from the active database. Older and manual recovery copies have separate retention and may contain historical data. The 14-day period does not describe deletion from every backup. The retention and handling of those separate recovery copies still need to be confirmed.

Email correspondence is kept while needed to handle the conversation or request and any related claims. A more specific correspondence retention rule remains under review.

Providers and external requests

OVHcloud hosts the website; Cloudflare supports delivery and security. Hosting and provider arrangements do not imply that every recipient processes data only in Poland.

New project correspondence uses OVHcloud email. [email protected] reaches the same inbox as [email protected]. Earlier correspondence can remain in the previous Gmail account during the transition. The operator's two Gmail accounts receive generic new-mail alerts without the original sender, subject, message contents or attachments. The website references Google Fonts and external images from Unsplash, with Placehold.co as an image fallback. Where your browser loads those resources, the respective provider receives technical connection information. External links open separate websites with their own privacy practices.

Scheduled site backups are stored on the hosting server and are not emailed. The scheduled job checked on October 12, 2026 does not configure the optional offsite transfer supported by the backup script. Earlier and manual copies are assessed separately.

Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. The applicable arrangements and safeguards remain under review. Provider information is available from Cloudflare and Google; those pages do not by themselves confirm the arrangements for this website.

Discord receives administrative notifications about service health, resource usage, watched project-file metadata and SSH logins. SSH login alerts can contain the administrative account, source IP address and authentication method. Aggregate crawler reports and general API alerts omit player identifiers, game sessions and raw game responses. These notifications do not forward website visit reports or email contents. Discord messages have separate provider retention; the website's 14-day expiry for earlier detailed reports does not delete them. See Discord's privacy information. Legal basis

The legal basis is being assessed for each purpose. Legitimate interests is the proposed basis for necessary delivery and security and for handling correspondence. The reduced page-view counting still requires an assessment of its actual operation and any applicable browser-access requirements. Removing detailed analytics or providing an opt-out does not by itself establish a legal basis.

Your rights and requests

Depending on the applicable conditions, you can request access, correction, deletion or restriction of your personal data, and portability. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons relating to your situation. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Email [email protected] to make a request. Include enough context to help locate the relevant records. If more information is necessary to verify a request, the owner will explain what is needed. Requests are normally answered within one month, subject to the applicable rules.

You can complain to the Polish supervisory authority, UODO, or another competent supervisory authority. The European Commission's explanation of data protection rights provides further information.
